Also, I am able to leech from them again, which I do but I wonder if they'll turn hostile if I do that too long. When I completed the assist quest, the minor faction's affinity jumped to 100 and it seems their colonized planet gives me their resources (but as expected, I did not gain control of that planet or their fleet). When affinity reached 50, I chose to assist them. Then as I praised them and my affinity with them starting to climb, the leech button was greyed out stating that I didn't have the authorization to leech from them. The Vodyanis are a faction who were saved by the Endless and their goal is the sustain their own life by exterminating and using others, which includes recruiting slaves as well as using huge motherships to maintain their lifestyles. Endless Space 2 is the latest 4X project by Amplitude Studios and they have recently announced that the Vodyani will be the fourth faction in the game.
